Hi!

I made a hybrid mesh with Gambit. Solving the case with Fluent didn't work, so I'm trying to solve it with CFX instead. I don't want to generate the mesh all over again. Can I somehow import the Gambit file into CFX?

It can be done by using ICEM CFD, at least. (if you have fluent .msh file or case)

Hi!

Thank you very much. It did work using ICEMCFD. I don't know why I didn't think of that before!

Hi,

You can export ANSYS format from GAMBIT.

Hi CF,

The easiest way is to export the mesh in CGNS format from Fluent. This can be read directly into CFX-Pre, including regions. You'll need to redefine your physics, however.

Works really well,if you open .msh file in FlUENT. Initialise it, and export it as Patran Neutral. Now read in CFX

that's worse. Since CFX is a 3D code, you have to have one layer of thickness in the 3rd direction, and then applied symmetry conditions on these sides. I think there is a CFX tutorial convering that.
