Hello,
First of all, I am new to this field and trying to learn. I designed a reactor for my university project. I made the analysis in steady state. However, I also want to do the transient analysis based on time. I am getting some errors. However, I could not tell if this was with the meshing or in preparation. I share the project and related photos. +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ********* WARNING ********* | | Coordinate transformation of interface | | Default Fluid Fluid Interface | | into a radial interface resulted in some faces with a very small | | axial extent. There are two possible reasons for this: | | 1. The interface contains axial faces (normal to the axis). | | If this is the case, please split the interface into two parts, | | so that the purely axial sections could be transformed | | properly. The transformation type (axial or radial) is chosen | | automatically based on the largest interface extent. | | 2. This message may be generated because of a tolerancing issue | | when the mesh resolution in the axial direction is very | | small (e.g. at the hub or shroud). If this is the case, you | | may ignore this message. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #555000005 has occurred in subroutine THETA_CONT_FIN. | | Message: | | | | A transition between +/-180 degrees could not be found on side 1 | | of domain interface: | | | | Default Fluid Fluid Interface | | | | The algorithm which calculates this value attempts to search for | | the first element face at this transition. Sometimes this will | | fail if the pitch angle is incorrect. The pitch angle for this | | side of the interface is:122.345 degrees. If this does not | | seem correct then please carefully examine your interface for any | | of the following: | | | | 1) side 1 has more than 360 degrees of revolution | | 2) side 1 intersects zero radius | | 3) side 1 has element faces normal AND parallel to the axis | | 4) side 1 has element faces at the low radial or axial position | | which are very thin in the axial or radial direction, or the | | edges which make up the inner radius/axial position do not form | | an arc of revolution so that the flow solver can accurately | | determine the pitch angle. | | | | If any of situations 1-3 apply you can try changing Transformation | | Type to "None" instead of "Automatic". If the 4th situation is | | the problem then you must explicitly specify the pitch angles | | of side 1 and 2 of the interface. You may have to change both | | settings to get the flow solver running. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | The ANSYS CFX solver exited with return code 1. No results file | | has been created. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ End of solution stage. +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The following transient and backup files written by the ANSYS CFX | | solver have been saved in the directory | | C:/Users/user/Desktop/ssss_pending/dp0_CFX_2_Solution_2/Copy of | | Copy of Fluid Flow CFX_001: | | | | 0_full.trn | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The following user files have been saved in the directory | | C:/Users/user/Desktop/ssss_pending/dp0_CFX_2_Solution_2/Copy of | | Copy of Fluid Flow CFX_001: | | | | mon | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | For CFX runs launched from Workbench, the final locations of | | directories and files generated may differ from those shown. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Warning! | | | | After waiting for 60 seconds, 1 solver manager process(es) appear | | not to have noticed that this run has ended. You may get errors | | removing some files if they are still open in the solver manager. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ This run of the ANSYS CFX Solver has finished. |

The only important errors are the first two. All the others are just a result of the initial failures so can be ignored.
The first one is a warning only, but read what it says carefully and decide whether this is a problem or not. The second is an error so you need to fix that one. It is probably the same thing as the warning. Read both these messages carefully, they are quite descriptive so should give you the information you need to understand what has happened and what you need to do to fix it.
