export ICEM mesh to comet

Has anyone ever tried to export mesh from icem to Comet solver? Comet needs 3 text files with cells,boundaries and vertex;is it a way to extract this kind of data from ICEM ?

Sounds a lot like StarCD format to me. I would try that first. It gives a .cel, .vrt, .bnd files - plus a .inp to reference the others.

Yes, I can confirm that this definitely works. In Icem-CFD, export as Star-CD 3.2 format, which will give you 4 files called by default star.vrt, star.cel, star.bnd and star.inp.
In the Cometpp interface, you can import this mesh with the command: star star.vrt star.cel star.bnd |
