In Post-First blending function for BSL and SST
Dear all,
what can I expect if I plot "First blending function for BSL and SST model" or "Second blending function for BSL and SST "in contour or if I calculate it in Function calculator, both in Postproc? Thanks a lot in advance. |
Re: In Post-First blending function for BSL and SS
This is all covered in the manual section on the SST model.

I am having the strange problem with SST model.
As we know that: Different values of first blending function F1 for BSL and SST model are: 1 = KW model 0 = K epsilon model between 0 and 1 = mixture of both models with appropriate portion of each model depending on the values of F1 1. But what I am getting is alternate values of 0 and 1, which means that KW and KE model are switching on and off again and again. As I believe there should be the continues decrease in value of F1 from 1 (in viscous sub layer, KW model) to the 0 ( in the log layer, or it is the outer most layer !!!!, KE model). 2. Is this due to use of automatic wall treatment? I shall be very much thankful for your useful discussion PS. I am solving the NASA rotor 37, and looking for these values at the 50% span as to avoid any confusion with the effect of wall (hub or casing). Although same trend is observed at all locations. |
