Hi
I want to calculate the average temperature, min, max etc. and other descriptive statistics for specific time-steps using post CFX. How can I do that? Can you refer to some documents I can read. Thanks! |

You can do CEL expressions in CFD-Post. You can do them to create variable fields, calculate single numbers, or calculate whole spreadsheet of numbers.

I was inside the CEL in CFX-post using the expression-option and right-clicking to define an expression. However, I could not found anything in google on how to define these expressions. I want to calculate the average temperature and min/max for a specific time-step. I found ave, min, max, temperature and time-step but I really don't know how to set them up. Could you please give an example?

It is all in the documentation: The CFX Reference Manual has a few chapters on CEL and expressions, functions and variables.

For a transient calculation, it is better and easier to define these beforehand. So define them in Pre (create a monitors of an equation in Output Control), and then monitor them during the calculation in the Solver Manager.
