how to reduce the lift force
 

hi,

i am working on a car model (External flow, flow over a car body).

For aa given model lift force is positive.but in automotive lift force must be neagative (as per my knowledgek,is you have any suggestions regarding this please share it.).

can you tell me steps ( shange in shape of car body) to get negative lift force.

A lot of downforce comes from the acceleration of air under the body. I would first make sure you have modeled this correctly. Do you have the right ground clearance and did you specify an appropriate wall velocity to the ground?

Hello... It depends on your car design, car speed, & flow conditions. Your results may be okay. Do you have some experimental data to compare with? Car manufacturer used to add bumper at front & rear, or even the wing at the back to increase the downward force.

i wanted to know about following concepts.

1. will increase in inclination result of increase in lift

force.

2. By reducing lift will it lead to increase in drag force.

can i have a website address or any material references which will help me to understand these concepts and carry out CFD work.
