How to create a variable which computes vorticity

Hi, I have finished an analysis. it took long time. nearly 4000 iterations. so I selected 'standart variable list' in the Output Control section in CFX-Pre. now i am not seeing the ' vorticity variable' in CFX-Post. i needed create a variable that will calculate vorticities. so i defined a variable and used it. but it did not give reasonable results. Can any good human help me about that problem?

Add the following CCL to your def file:
LIBRARY: VARIABLE: vorticity Output to Postprocessor = Yes END END You'll then need to run your case for one more iteration to get a new results file that includes this variable. Hope this helps, Mike |

You could also go back to Pre and add Vorticity to the res file through the Output Control panel. Use the new def file with your existing Res file to initialize it and run it for one iteration. Pretty much does the same as the above.
If you always want vorticity to be output, edit the $CFX_ROOT/etc/VARIABLES file in a text editor. Search for "VARIABLE: vorticity" and change the "Output to Postprocessor" parameter from No to Yes. Subsequent runs (on machines linking to this installation) will always include vorticity. Regards, Robin |

Dear Sir,
Why you need "vorticity" and which it indicates. Thank you Eric |
