Hey guys,
i'm doing a simulation of a system like the "Tea leaf paradox". I would like to estimate the volume flow of the secondary flow in cfd post. I setup a "Surface of Revolution" location but therefor I need the normalized vectors of the velocity on the surface. I don't know how to do that. Any suggestions? Other solutions? Thanks in advance. |

When plotting vectors on a surface, there are several options, including tangential and normal. I would think one would want to show a flat plane through the center of the cylinder and show tangential velocity on that plane, just like the image with the blue line on that wikipedia page you linked. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_le...lustration.svg
But your way should work as well. |
