Near wall distance factor

Hi everyone ? What is the value of near wall distance factor that you are using ? for sst i used 0.5 Do you calculate or estimate the y+ value in your simulations, is it really a good preocupation ? Thanks.

Read the help manual section on near wall meshing.

it said just konwing things to use 0.5 in SST and 2.0 with others, but i need more about it. thanks

Y+ =0.5 is a good value, but ofcourse it also is very problem specific. The good thing about CFX automatic wall functions is, even if you are between 0.5 to 100 for SST model, it gives you good results. Because it uses low-Re number approximation or log profile approximation wherever they are needed. I hope I am not wrong when I say this.
