Newbie of CFD

Hi folk,

I was requested to solve a flow problem and suggested to solve it by using ANSYS CFX. However, I found ICEM CFD as well. Can anyone tell me what is the difference of them? Which one I should use and, any resources to learn?

CFX is the flow solver. ICEM CFD is a meshing software only - no solver.

Hi Derek,

A good start are the tutorials included in the CFX manual. They will help you a lot understanding the process of a CFD analysis.

Thanks your information. I also want to know if I can use ANSYS CFX WORKBENCH to do meshing and analysis?
