convergence problems when using densities

Hello,

I am investigating a blunt body (drag analysis) and from recent calculations I know the wake region (vortex) downstream of my body. I put a density in that region in order to increase accuracy. However then the calculation will not converge any more. After removing the density again the solution converges. Could anyone explain the behavior to me? Actually I thought that a better resolution would increase the convergence behavior...

Thanks Fonzie

You need to study the differences between modelling steady and unsteady flow. Read the relevant sections of the help file.
