I made a duct analysis in CFX 10.0 the convergence is ok, after I made some changes in the duct because some assembly restrictions, I simulate the new duct with the same conditions but the analysis don't converge. I only want to compare the dp (preassure) of the original duct and the new duct.

All the conditions are the same, the change is the geometry This is my first analysis in CFX Please help me,

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The problem could be many things, but one common issue is that previously the simulation was steady state and now the restrictions are causing transient effects by vortex shedding. You might be able to fix it by using a longer physical timescale, but if that does not fix it you will probably need to do a transient simulation.
