Tetra or Hexa

Dear Friends,

The fluid in my simulation is high speed, compressible air. (1)Which type mesh is better: Tetra or Hexa, (2)Which kind type is perfect: Structured or Unstructured?

Thank you in advance.

Eric.

Typically using a structured hex mesh will give you the best quality for the fewest nodes. But if your geometry is complex, it could take an eternity to block it, in which case Tetra would be more sensible.

One approach is to do a large tetra mesh quickly, which you can then get running soon. That keeps the boss off your back while you work on a more efficient hexa mesh ...
