Hi all,
I am trying to simulate the boiling of liquid water in a horizontal channel. Liquid water (at Temp=100 C, 1 atm) enters from one side and leaves completly as vapor due to heat flux at the solid boundaries. Any idea how to simulat this using cfx. How many fluid shall I use (continuse and disperse). Thanks a lot in advance. Ahmad Al-Zoubi |

Try with the cfx ccl for boiling water. It is a template which creates materials, expressions and appropriate multiphase models.

Thanks a lot for your reply Rojar,
The problem which I face is which model to use. Euler Euler, Continuse (Liquid) and disperse (steam)?!. This is not resonable since the liquid water will completly change to steam and here the steam will be the continuse phase. Another task is which heat transfer coefficient to specify since I have different zones in the channel, i.e., bubble, churn, plug, drop, ..... Also another open question is: if I have a micro channel like a fork, what are the suitable heat transfer coefficents?. Thanks a lot for any hint Ahmad |
