Hi
I am running an unsteady simulation of a GA airplane. The unsteady will be a full model since I want to study the influence of the rear propeller (actuator disk) on the tail. Can I run steady state simulations on a half model and use that to initialize a full model for unsteady sims? Any references I can look at? Thank you |

I would have thought that the flow coming off the prop would induce a spiral flow around the aircraft. This flow cannot be modelled with a symmetry plane.
I think you will have to do a full steady state model to get an initial condition.
