how to do integration in post-processing

Hi All,

I modeled a liquid-liquid two-phase flow in a tank and obtained the distribution of volume frations for both fluids. I'd like to know the average concentration of one fluid for any given volume of different sizes, from 1cm^3 to 1m^3, at different locations in the flow domain while post-processing the results. Could anybody tell me how to do it? Further, if there are a number of volumes of interest, i.e., at least 1000 of volumes, is there any way to do this less time-consuming?

Thanks and Regards!

Re: how to do integration in post-processing

The brute force approach would be to create spherical sampling volumes of the desired size anchored to XYZ coordinates. These sampling volumes could then be used as locators to do the relevant concentration calcs. This would produce sets of data points like:

XYZ Sampling_size concentration

,which could then be processed into a 3D graphical output by a 3rd party graphics package.

The generation of the data points can be automated using a macro.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I will try it.
