icem 10 - degenerate to y-block

Default icem 10 - degenerate to y-block

I wish to convert a degenerate block (prism) to a y-block topology. however, when i select some of them i get errors like "end face nodes != 3" "degenerate elements must have super edge"

what do these mean?
