Expressions with more that one variables

Hi to everyone,

How can I evaluate "Expressions" with more that one variables, which I have already set in Pre- and the Res. file is also created!?

any comments would be highly appreciated...

Regards, Houman

I get this error message:

ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. Message:CEL_VALUE requested the evaluation of a single valued CEL expression. However, the expression specified for "Monitor Point 1" is not single valued. One or more sub-expressions yield field values band must be corrected to yield single values.

Re: Expressions with more that one variables

If you use an expression for a Monitor Point, it has to evaluated to a single number, not a field variable. You can use the callback functions (areaAve, volumeInt etc) to get single numbers for field variables on a specified locator.

Re: Expressions with more that one variables

Hi Stumpy,

thanks for your reply, the fact is the my expression (ds=26*dR*(dR^2*g * Water at RTP.density /SuTen)^-0.5*(g *dR ^3/KV^2 )^-0.12*(uG /sqrt(g *dR))^-0.12) calculates the bubble diameter (of the gas in a bubble column with 2 phases) so I just wanted to see the result of ds (bubble diameter) in the output file of the CFX. could you please instruct me in this regard.

thanks in advance, Houman

Re: Expressions with more that one variables

To avoid the error you got, remove the monitor point.

If you created this expression in CFX-Pre, then it will appear in CFX-Post also. You can create a new variables in CFX-Post (on the Variables tab) that is equal to this expression.
