limit conditions (inlet)

I am a PhD student. I am a beginner in CFX. I work with CFX 5.5

I want to modelise a storm water retention tank. At the entry of this tank we measure velocity for some time steps : v=f(t)

I would like to know how to define this temporary variation of velocity as an inlet condition in CFX-Build.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Re: limit conditions (inlet)

Dear Andres,

You will need to write some user routines to read your own data, and fill the data as the solver request the boundary values.

I strongly recommend that you upgrade to one of the latest versions of ANSYS CFX.. Either 10.0, or 11.0 will suit you better in terms of functionality, workflow, solver speed and robustness, etc.

Good luck,

Opaque.
