Default what is orient block in icem?

Hi, I have a pipe with some bends. I have initially used orient with block. It has created no of blocks orientating with geometry. But there was no connectivity in between those blcoks. What is the reason? I cudnt understan that what is actually orient with the block? pls someone solve this query. Thanks u all
