Hello all,
I am an undergrad. student and in the context of my diploma thesis i will be simulating a CROR, both acoustics and aerodynamics.
I would like to know if anyone has relevant experience using ANSYS CFX and encountered any serious issues ?
Secondly, is it possible to export unsteady pressure results from CFX and then import them into Fluent to use Fluent's acoustic solver ?

Thank you in advance

A google search says CROR = Canadian Rail Operating Rules. Why would you want to simulate that?

Make sure you read the CFX best practices guide, as they have a lot on rotating machinery. CFX has a lot of options for rotating machinery like this.

You should be able to export to Fluent. The easiest way is to use Workbench with a CFX block sending results to a Fluent block, but you can probably do it as a direct transfer as well.
