CCL help

Hi, everyone

I am doing radial impeller flow simulation in CFX.

The impeller is rotating at 55000 rpm.

In order to make the convergence faster and to avoid some problems like the tip mach number getting too high error I want to run the simulation at 10000 rpm and then after the convergence I want to use the results of that simulation as the initial and boundary condition of the new simulation on which the rotation will be 20000 rpm and I keep incrementing the speed untill I reach the 55000 rpm.

Another approach is to make a unsteady simulation with coarse time step and use the results of the last to define the boundary conditions of the simulation I want to make.

Now I want to automate the process of incrementing the rpm and using the results as the the boundary and initial condition for the next simulation.

In order to do that I thought of using CCL so I need help on finding resources to learn CCL and if you can help me to write the corresponding code for my case that will be much appreciated.

If you have any other recommendations for applying what I mentioned above don't hesitate on writing them, the same applies if you know other approaches to avoid the errors mentioned above I welcome every suggestion.

Thanks in advance

Thank you so much this was so helpful.

EDIT : any other recommendations and advices are more than welcome

Have you read the documentation about setting up "multi-configuration" simulations?

You can create your model, say at 10 000 rpm, you then duplicate the model, use 20 000 rpm for the second model, and so on as many as you want.

You then insert the Configuration Control and describe how you want your model to be solved, their order, and how to restart between them

It is worth a look, all built-in.

UPDATE:

Read section CFX-Pre Users Guide/Configurations

It is indeed a good idea I didn't know that the software offers that I'll look into it thank you so much.
