difference between cpu time and wall clock time

hi,

I am using CFX11 on a Dual core AMD Opteron system. The mesh has 540,000 nodes and 3m elements. I setup PVM Local parallel in CFX-solver with 2 partitions. However, It took 2 hours to write the final result file.

I am wondering whether I can reduce this writing time.

Thanks a lot.

Tony

I forgot to say that 2 hours of writing time is the difference between cpu time and wall clock time.

Use MPICH ... much less writing time.
