import airfoil in Bladegen

Hi I' have an airfoil in (x,y) coord.

how can I import?

I tryed to have beta definition by geomtric analysis but I have a bad curve.

Someone could explain correct method?

Hi. Try to cretaing the curve in a CAD software (Catia, ProE, Solidworks...). You have to import the points that define the curve, and create the curve.

Then export the curve to .IGS (.IGES). Then in blade gen, import the curve that define the airfoil.

I tried but my airfoil have very sharp LE &TE so when I import by wizard the software make an elliptic end , so Ihave bad airfoil

Any other suggetion?

Re: import airfoil in Bladegen

BladeGen will always represent the leading and trailing edges as ellipses or cut-off. If you have a sharp leading or trailing edge, just specify the ellipse size to be very small, but not zero.

To import you profile points into BladeGen, have a look at the TurboGrid .curve format or the RTZT format. Both are documented in the on-line help.
