Streamlines in -z direction

Hello together!

I want to plot streamlines in cfx post, starting from a plane in the direction of -z (and not in +z, which is set as default). How can I change the direction of my streamlines?

Thank you!!!

Re: Streamlines in -z direction

Hi,

The +/- direction of the normal vector of a plane to seed streamlines is irrelevant. To change the direction of the streamlines choose either upstream or downstream on the streamlines tab.

Adding to Glenn's comment, I think the option that you're looking for is the direction: - Forward: Downstream of the plane - Backward: Upstream of the plane - Forward and backward: Both downstream and upstream
