Hi,

i am trying to overcome following problem in Ansys CFX 14.5:

1) Steady State Analysis
2) In Pre-Processor Output Control/Backup I set up .bak file with Selected Variable option Default compression... I want to measure lets say CH4 Ideal Gas.Molar Fraction
I set up Output Frequency (lets say I want 5 .bak.files)

I do that, because I am only interested in this variable, and I want to limit the size of .bak files

3) Analysys Finishes - I have main .res file, but when I go to POST, I can open only .res File. When I try to open .bak file with selected variable only I receive following message:

ERROR
Error reading file 'blabla'
Error reading number of domains (G/NZN)

I keep main res file loaded...
and I tried also a method which I use to read .trn files (from transient analysys results) with one "selected variable" ...And it does not work
