Are you asking what is the best way to run your workstation? If so, then why not do a benchmark and work it out for yourself. Note that there is a lot more than just the CPU to consider when optimising a system.

Or are you asking what performance should you expect from a i9 system? If so, then look on the many CPU benchmark webpages around. My favourite is the CPU benchmarks from spec.org: https://spec.org/cpu2017/results/cpu2017.html

Maybe benchmark results are posted on the hardware forum. If not, you may ask if someone can share their experience.

Ansys CFX. Parameterization. Processing of results
 

Hello.
Need some advice.

SITUATION:

There is a CFD calculation with many options.
The separator is calculated for different media and pressures.
There are about 1300 options in total.
I got some results using an expression in the output parameters in the table.


PROBLEM:

I can't find a way to open a specific calculation case in the postprocessor.
You need to look at the calculation results
that are not in the table,
for example, current lines or volume concentration, etc.

When I open the postprocessor, I see only the last calculated option #1289.

How do I open option 500 or 101 in the postprocessor?
I don't see a lot of files with the .res extension in the calculation results
There are none for each option, there are only for the last one.

By default Workbench does not keep the results file of simulations, just the output parameters. If you want the results file to be kept you need to select the "Keep Results" option in the parameter table for every run you want to keep.

So you will have to select this option in every line in your parameter table and rerun the entire table - then the results files will be kept and you can look at any simulation in the table in the post processor.

It is not a right click option. You need to scroll right on the table.

Then select "set us current" from the context menu.
Now you can open the selected option in the postprocessor.
