Hi

I have done some simulation of 3D wing, and I do know how to read the lift & drag out of CFX, however, do anyone know how to read the pitching moment from the wing?

Thanks

Chen

Hi,

In the command file you can add torque monitor points. In CFX-Post you can use the calculator to give the torque components.

Be aware that it is very difficult to get accurate pitching moment results in CFD modelling, it requires very accurate work. Lift is easy, drag is tricky and pitching moment is very tricky.

Hi Glenn

Thanks for the reply, I have also looked though the CFX post, and I assume because that for the moment, I am looking at torque_Z (I guess it is respect to the Z-axis)

Thank you very much for your reply.

Regards
