i have studied the tutorial of FSI using CFX. the tutorial shows that we can import the solid model into the design modeler and then we can proceed for the next FSI steps. the workbench FSI step also shows that the design modeler framework for fluid and static analysis is connected to each other. My questions is, is it possible if we just import a mesh file for FSI problem solving?

For the fluid side drag a CFX *Component* System into the Project, double-click on Setup then import a Mesh into CFX-Pre as usual. For the Mechanical side it's not so easy, you need to use the FE Modeler component to bring an external mesh in.

thank you mr stumpy,
can you give me some details about using that FE modeller for mechanical component?
or do you have any example (tutorial or any training material) of such using FE modeler for FSI?
