Hi,

Do you want to write your own program to generate meshes? Or are you looking for software which can generate the mesh?

thank you Glenn for your answer my problem is to write a program that would be able to predict the turbulent flow in complex geometries eg curvelinear, square channel therefore I must to know first how to program the mesh of this kind of geometries so I am looking for program based on the grid generation method For employment it in the grid part my program of the turbulent flow. Reading the messages I see that the gambit is helpful, but our university does not have the license for this software Can you help me please If you can.

Hi,

There are plenty of mesh generation softwares around. ICEM is from ANSYS, also have a look at Harpoon and Gridgen. These are all high-level packages with lots of power and a price tag to match. If you don't need such high end stuff you can find plenty of open-source mesh generation software around, just ask Mr Google.
