Hi, I want to simulate laminar transient flow with air. I want to use temperature independent flow properties and constat density. Air at 25 work here? Also the energy would be total or thermal?

For the incompressible solution, you will use the option of isothermal and use 25C as temperature with the laminar flow model.

just choose laminar flow, if you have low values of velocities! Try calculating the Grashof number (if you have natural convection) or Reynolds number (if you have forced convection).

donīt you forget to make a validation of cfx software with experimental data! I recommend you using hexa mesh!
