How do I model a "corrugate Pipe"?

Hi all,

I always appreciate your attentions.

I would like to model a corrugate pipe.

when I make a sectional surface and revolve it, it is not able to make a "solid Body".

Therefore, I cannot make a domain interface with the other solid body.

when I make a convential tube model, it is possible to make interface using "Encloser" tool.

Here my question.

when I make a surface body with "revolve" command, how do I change it a "Solid" body.

Actually, the sectional shape of my pipe is as follows;

∧∧∧∧∧∧∧∧∧∧ ∧∧∧

∨∨∨∨∨∨∨∨∨∨∨∨&o r;

Thanks

When you make a revolved feature, if it isn't completly enclosed, it will make a surface. If the section is clompletly closed, then it will make a solid volume.

First check to see if there isn't a small line somewhere that isn't fully connected.

I really appreciate you, Dre.

Let me ask one more.

As you know, it is a straight tube when I use revolve command.

Would you give me an idea for bending or sweeping the straight tube?

Thanks Dre.

Sorry I can't help you there. I don't know how to do this in Design Modeler.

However, couldn't you just model a normal smooth pipe, then set an appropriate surface roughness in CFX?
