energy loss due to turbulent flow

Hi,

can CFX claulcate the loss of enery from a system due to

turbulancy of the flow or ftrictions at the volume

consider a simple pipe- I only consider the kinetic energy

when the flow comes in it has some kinetic energy

and when it exits it has some energy

can we compare the two or is there any better way to measure the loss of energy
