which turbulence model to use???
 
Dear friends,

I want to catch boundary layer in case of a pipe flow. Which turbulence model will be suitable for this?? I will be very kind of u if u mention the reason also. I am also getting confused in deciding the mesh quality near the wall.. PLZ help me..

Hi,

Use the SST model with a y+ of about 1, and extend the prism layers quite a way into the domain. You should good a good boundary layer profile that way.
