Hi Glenn and Robin,

Can we estimate the time for reaching steady state with transient simulation? I plot the streamline starting from the inlet and with 'symbols' at different times. Whether the 'time' of the symbol which is at the outlet of the domain the residence time (i.e. the time required for the information at the inlet to propagate to the outlet)? Can this residence time be the time to reach steady state even when i use multigrid solver?

thanking you

if it is possible, why do not you try a steady state simulation? After that, make a transient simulation. For it, make a point of monitoring of the temperature for example and you will see the behaviour of this variable.
