Hello; Im asking me how can i estimate the error assumed when i use non conformal interfaces versus the 1:1 interfaces. In which cases i shoul avoid non-conformal mesh?

Thanks.

Hi,

What do you mean by "error"? If you mean error in solution outputs then that is obviously highly problem dependant.

The GGI interface is pretty good and there are only a few places where you should avoid them. You would try to avoid them aligning with free surface interfaces or other steep gradients. You should also avoid putting them in regions where you are trying to get high precision, such as separations or plumes.
