Hi,

When doing a simulation of flow around a cylinder (same mesh, reynolds number, time step etc...) we see always different transient results between cfx and fluent. We tried fine meshes, small time steps...steady-state is not so different.

Which code is correct do you think?

Have you try to compare fluent and cfx on the same case? do you have same results give or take a few?

thanks

First, i recommend you to make a comparison with experimental data. I think itīs more important, after that, you can choose a software that u want to work. I made 2 comparisons with 2 experimental data and i had different deviations (with different cases).

After that, I made a comparison only with femlab (2D study) and CFX 11 (3D study) for conducting heat transfer (only solid domain) and i had the same results between cfx and femlab.
