Hi all, I am trying to simulate multiphase flow with air at the top and very dense and viscous fluid at the bottom. Since air temperature is very high I want to use radiation for heating simulation. Ansys 10 Help states clearly that program cannot handle radiation for multiphase flows. Since it is crucial for my simulation I wanted to as if anyone has an idea how to solve it? - I have created two domains one for air and one for other liquid. These two cant mix at all and I want only heat transfer between them, however adding two materials to the simulation, I am forced to make multiphase flow. Is there possibility to create two separate domains with different fluids? It would be the best solution for me and probably allowing for radiation transfer, - my second idea is to perform simulation of the air space (with radiation) to simulate radiation heat transfer to bottom surface. After that to perform second simulation of the dense fluid implying radiation on the top surface. Is it possible to copy the radiation heat flux from one simulation to another as boundary condition? How can I do it?

Hi! Multiphase radiation is Beta Visible Feature in CFX 11. Do you have acess to CFX 11? Its still a beta, but i think its worthy to try it.

Hallo, Thanks for Your answer. At the moment no - I have no look into CFX 11. Havy You got any idea how to stick to this problem in ansys 10? Now I am considering some kind of radiaiton source and so on but make a little progress here. I have heard that it is possible to make simulation with two separable fluids in two separated domains as it does not contain multiphase option but I dont know how to do it? Have You got any idea?
