Conjugate Heat Transfer query

Hi,

I'm wanting to know the temperature soak performance of a solid body which is surrounded by a fluid.

If I use the Conjugate Heat Transfer feature in CFX will that tell me anything about the temperature in the solid body - I would expect it does not and I'd need to use the Fluid-Structure Interaction.

Is CHT just about using a solid as a source or sink for heat energy whereby only the behaviour of the fluid is to be understood?

Thanks.

Re: Conjugate Heat Transfer query

If you want to observe the shrinkage of solid body due to thermal shock , then it is not possible in CFX. Other wise You can always obtain temerature profiles on solid fluid interections.
