Yes , why not.

If you can solid works in parasolid text (.x_t). Then you can import geometry with "Import Geometry" .. It should work now.

hi CycLone, Could you please explain a bit more(SolidWorks interface) . I personnaly dont know Solid works but want to import someone elses geomtry file into CFX. ~Any suggestion??

It doesnt come as a default, need to pay for it. Its pretty useful while performing optimization studies wherein your CAD geometry requires frequent updates. The same interface can be used to import *.SLDPRT files directly into CFXMesh, design Modeller etc.

Hi MAB,

The interface works directly with a live SolidWorks session, so you would need SW installed and licensed to import the file. If you don't have it, ask your friend to export the file to Parasolids.

Thank you Sans and CycLone...you are genius.

CycLone!!.... I think there's no ICEM on my CFX.. Do I need ICEM to import a Solidworks file or Parasolid file.???? How to check if i have ICEM or NOT?? I dont have any ADVANCE MESHING option on my project page
