DombrovschiM is on a distinguished road
Hello everyone,

I am trying to analyze a drone propeller with CFX. But i have a problem, what inlet and outlet conditions should I use?

For INLET i used pressure with relative 0 Bar
Same for outlet, the domain is rotating with a given RPM, but the resulted force of the propeller is way to low ( compared with the experimental data of the propeller)

Do you have any idea?

P.S.: I don't wanna use velocity/mass flow inlet because I don't believe this is the way of doing this analysis.

Thank you

What configuration are you trying to model? You set your boundary conditions to match the configuration you are trying to model.

I would guess that a drone is moving forward at some velocity, and that the propeller is reasonably open to the atmosphere (not in a duct or anything). If this is correct then I would use a velocity inlet and a pressure outlet. Why do you "believe" this is not correct?
