Transition from laminar to turbulence

Hello.I am new to CFX. I am using CFX to simulate a four roll mill. Is there any way to get the reynolds number for which transition from laminar to turbulent take place like for pipe flow it takes place at around 2000?

Hi,

There is also transition Re number for flow over a plate plate. In general for a guide as to whether transition occurs or not you might be able to use the well-known pipe or plate results.

I think more important is to know the lenght of the pipe , is it long enough for observing the transition phase before it takes up the developed flow pattern.
