Accuracy, robustness, capability, feature Matrix interaction, scalability, ease of use, flexibility, productivity...

Oh, did you mean literally?

Hi,

Many years ago in the AEA days couldn't think of a name for it so they decided to use CFX until they thought of something better. They still haven't thought of anything better.

Things do not have to necessarily mean something. What does windows XP stand for? I think CFX stands for nothing.

In Wndows XP. The XP name is short for "eXPerience,"

its better to find out what something means.... its still part of knowledge to know if something means nothing...

Its

"C" for Computational

"F" for Fluid

And "X" for CS of Dynamics (accent of CS). i.e. Dynamix.

I have seen independent tests that show CFX is more that 10 times slower than Fluent for regular engineering cases (especially transient).

So, how do you spell "incredible pile of shit" starting with C, F, and X?

I thought with the Ansys take-over of Fluent this CFX versus Fluent bla-di-bla was over. Can you give a link to these independent results, so that we can at least benefit from this knowledge? Otherwise it is a bit of a pointless statement.
