Hello everyone. After running the simulation in CFX . I have a line which I want to plot the velocity over it in every time step together. Is there any way to plot them or export the data over line as well as time steps?
A simpler case: plotting the velocity for a point over time.
Thank you.

Do you want to show an animation of velocity vectors? Just draw the line, put a vectors object in using the line and use the animation tool to animate it over time.

No, I want to have the data over the line (velocity) at each time step together so I can take the time average of them (as an example). Not to export velocities for each time step to a spreadsheet software then take the time average of them

Have you looked at the transient statistics in CFX? You might be able the calculate what you want with that so you do not need to do it.

I do not understand your question, you seem to say you want to export the data so you can calculate stuff but then you say that is not what you want to do.

So I am going to guess that you want to export data - that is easy with file/export in CFD-Post. You can select your line as the object to export, and you can do it for each time step you have a results file for.

I thank you for the time you spend to answer my question ghorrocks.
I want to plot data (Velocity or Pressure) of a point over time.

In that case you can define a monitor point in the output tab of CFX-Pre, and then as the simulation progresses the value of that monitor point can be shown in Solver Manager. The monitor point will be output every time step regardless of what transient results files you save.
Opaque and smhk like this.

and you can compute a few transient statistics on those values as well.
