Pulsating Pressure Inlet

Hi all, I am new in CFX. I want to give pulsating pressure at inlet of one component. Can any one tell me how can I give inlet boundary condition as pulsating pressure.

Like you can say pressure should vary with respect to time this is my condition for inlet.

There are 24 tutorials in help files which tutorial is useful for this. and if you have any other tutorial help file than kindly send it to me ASAP

Reply ASAP.

Thanks, Chirag Shah

Re: Pulsating Pressure Inlet

time dependent boundary conditions can be implied using Step Function of CCL. e.g velocity*step((2-t)/1[s]) means the given velocity 'll be activated only during first 2 seconds . I would assume you can define pressure in similar manner. MAB

Hi Chirag

Do you have an expression or text file that you want to use for your case. If you do then its really easy. You can write an expression in cfx-pre and use that as your boundary condition or use 1D interpolation function which is even easier. Read through documentation how to set up 1D interpolation or search through forum. I am sure it has been explained here.

By the way what are you modelling?
