angle stall for a wing

Can CFX predict angle stall for a wing? (profile wing from naca 0015). Thanks before

yes, just set up a transient case where the wing rotates or several steady state cases at different AOA's... keep an eye on the pressure profile in CFX-post

Re: angle stall for a wing ( for JT )

thanks JT for your information. but I have tried from angle of attack 10 degree until 50 degree but wing lift always increase from 10 degree until 50 degree not decrease at its stall angle (for naca 0015 it's about 15 degree). what's wrong? or I have misconseptions. thx.

Hi,

This can be modelled but is very difficult to get accurate. Having said that if the flow is still attached at 50 degree AOA then your model is grossly inaccurate and you obviously need to check the physics and accuracy of your simulation.

Thank's Glenn for your information. I need your help again. Where I can find theory about stall angel for wing? Can I find it in CFX manual?

Hi,

For general information about stall angles for airfoils see a general airfoil textbook. There is also a lot of information on the web, try google.
