Modeler for CFX

Hi there,

I am trying to model a natural convection heat transfer of a fluid in a horizontal concentric cylinder using Ansys CFX. But i am still looking for a modeler to create the model and mesh that is compatible with CFX. So far i've only stumble across a few such as: GAMBIT, Ansys ICEMCFD or the Ansys Geometric Modeler from Ansys workbench. I've only had experience with GAMBIT and FLUENT. Can i create the model and mesh from GAMBIT and import it into CFX without any compatibility issues? Or is there a much easier way by using any of the Ansys modeler package?

Regards

Andrew

Hi,

All of these packages can generate meshes which CFX-Pre will accept. Use the mesher you are most familiar with and can generate the best quality mesh.
