Hello everyone,
Suppose we have an incompressible fluid flow and you want to use mass flow rate as an inlet boundary condition for a case in CFX. I'd like to know if CFX only calculates the mdot/area and then impose a uniform velocity field at the inlet. Or can CFX use the information from downstream nodes to find the nonuniform velocity field at the inlet concerning mdot (which is the integral over nonuniform inlet)? I just found that Openfoam has an option for inlet flow rate that uses extrapolation from inner nodes to find the velocity distribution on the inlet. |

CFX does not have an option like you request.
