Yes. Do a simulation with and without endplates and there you go.

In your opinion what's the effect foil endplates for lift on wing ? increase or decrease ? how about with induced drag (I'm sure that it decrease). How to calculate induced drag in CFX ? I want to know how many change lift and induced drag on wing with and without foil endplates. thank you

Hi,
Time to go to the library and get a airfoils textbook I think. But from my limited experience in airfoils I reckon you should get increased lift and increased drag. Designing end plates so they decrease drag is difficult, you can't just slap on any old design and expect the drag to decrease. Glenn Horrocks |
