premixed flame modeling problem

Hi, Guys,

I am a beginner with CFX. I am trying to do a premixed flame modeling using progress variable. Since this is a pure premixed flame (only one flow stream), the solution of the progress variable c is enough. However, in CFX, the setup for pure premixed flame and partially premixed flame is same. That is, for a pure BVM modeling, it still requires Flamelet Library input and the code still solve mixture fraction and its variance equations (they are not necessary for premixed flame). To generate the flamelet library, I have to buy a license of CFX-RIF. The problem is that I do not need the information of flamelet library for a premixed flame. Any suggestion to overcome this problem?

Thanks a lot!

Re: premixed flame modeling problem

There are two issues not one. - The burned fluid's composition is always calculated with flamelet library. - Solution of additional transport equations which are not required.

Both issues can be solved. Especially the second can be done by some CCL parameters. Which one do you want to solve?
